Typically, the training takes place during Monday to Friday, and the hours are aligned with standard business hours. Standard business hours will depend on the training location and setting, but you can expect these to be between the hours of 7 AM and 6 PM. The program length will vary based on the pace at which you complete the online portion and the schedule of the onsite training rotations. For the Medical Assistant job training program, we have a planned student timeline that spans approximately 4 months and 2 weeks. This timeframe factors in the completion of online learning, onsite training, and preparation for the CCMA credential exam. While individual progress may vary, we strive to provide a structured timeline and plenty of support to guide you through the program.

The main location for this program is at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. Following this initial phase, you will receive comprehensive training at various other health system locations. These may include urgent care centers, primary care locations, or health system satellite locations. The purpose of this approach is to ensure that medical assistant trainees gain valuable hands-on experience in a wide range of clinical settings. By rotating through different locations, you will have the chance to explore and discover which specialty area you enjoy the most.

You may reach out to the Ready to Hire support inbox at support.readytohire@cengage.com or via phone to 855-277-1578 and following the menu directions for student callers. Please note that we monitor the phone lines and inbox Monday - Friday 9 AM to 5 PM and experience a large volume of inquiries. We ask that you allow for 1 business day to lapse before a follow-up. If you are waiting for a decision on program acceptance, please allow for 1-2 days for the team to verify your final pre-requisite scores and send over next steps.
